1. Introduction

Welcome to Jominsure (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our website, platform, or any of our online services (“Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of our Platform immediately.

Jominsure operates as a digital distribution partner and affiliate of licensed insurers and Takaful operators in Malaysia. We are not an insurance or Takaful provider, nor do we underwrite, issue, or manage claims directly.

2. Definitions

  • “User” / “You” means any person accessing or using the Jominsure Platform.
  • “Insurer” / “Takaful Operator” refers to the licensed company underwriting the insurance or Takaful product offered.
  • “Certificate” / “Policy” means the document issued by the insurer or Takaful operator confirming coverage.
  • “Platform” refers to the Jominsure website, mobile application, and other digital interfaces.

3. Use of Platform

You agree to use this Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

  • Provide false or misleading information during application or registration.
  • Use the Platform to engage in fraud, abuse, or any activity violating Malaysian laws.
  • Attempt to access, interfere with, or damage any part of the Platform's systems or networks.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to users found in breach of these Terms.

4. Role of Jominsure

Jominsure acts solely as a facilitator between users and licensed insurance or Takaful operators. All underwriting, issuance, and claims are managed exclusively by the respective insurer or Takaful operator. Jominsure assists users with application submissions, payment facilitation, and customer support. Jominsure does not make underwriting or claim decisions.

5. Product Information

The information provided on this Platform is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional advice or a complete description of coverage. All insurance or Takaful products displayed are subject to:

  • The insurer's or Takaful operator's terms, conditions, and exclusions, and
  • Approval by the insurer or Takaful operator.

Users are encouraged to read the full Product Disclosure Sheet (PDS) and Certificate Wording before purchasing.

6. Payment and Confirmation

Payments made through the Platform are securely processed via approved payment gateways. Your coverage becomes effective only upon confirmation from the insurer or Takaful operator. In case of failed or reversed payments, coverage will not take effect. Jominsure is not responsible for any payment errors arising from the user's financial institution or payment gateway.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds, if applicable, are governed by the refund policy of the respective insurer or Takaful operator. Once a certificate or policy has been issued, cancellations or refunds are only allowed according to the terms of that policy. Jominsure will facilitate communication between the user and insurer for refund or cancellation requests.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Platform — including logos, text, graphics, and images — is owned by Jominsure or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or modify any part of this Platform without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jominsure, its affiliates, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use this Platform. We make no warranties or representations as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information displayed.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal data is protected under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). By using this Platform, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We take reasonable steps to secure your data but cannot guarantee absolute protection against cyber threats.

11. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. Jominsure does not control or endorse their content and shall not be responsible for any damages resulting from their use.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time without prior notice. The revised Terms will take effect upon posting on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
